New Campus in Eilat

Higher Education in the Outlying Areas

In order to make higher education more accessible, LCE has begun to establish branches in Israel's outlying areas. The first branch was established more than 20 years ago in Israel's southernmost point – Eilat. The importance of this campus goes beyond enabling the people of the south to acquire academic education without the hassle and expense of temporarily moving away. By training high quality teachers, many of whom will remain in the area, LCE supports the educational system in the region.

Over the past few years we have expanded our partnership with the city administration, and with the Ministry of Education's school and preschool supervision system and its pedagogical development administration. This partnership has gained even more significant momentum in recent years, especially after The Council for Higher Education approved its activity.

Levinsky College of Education's Eilat Campus considers itself the city's academic teachers' college and all its actions are aimed at meeting the city's needs.
